Pastoral Care

Visitation of the sick and vulnerable was foundational to the early ministry of Catherine McAuley and the first Sisters of Mercy.

This ministry continues today through the pastoral care and chaplaincy work of sisters not only in hospitals, but in immigration detention centres, aged care facilities, parish and school settings, disability support groups and in private family homes.
